Beautiful house with historical background. Living riverside in a former firehouse, built in 1921 and fully renovated in 2003.

The Riverside House

This house was a former firehouse on the former industrial area of the old spinnery in Windisch, canton Aargau. The firehouse has been rebuilt and renovated completely in 2002. The fronts have been amend with new 2.4 m high windows, self opening wooden gullwing-doors, and an extension on the upper floor which is aligned to the southern-west-side of the building.

This loft has 170 sqm of living space, a lot size of 441 sqm and a beautiful outer space which is located directly next to the spinnery canal. The building is heated trough a central heat pump, which is delivering heating enegery to all lofts in windisch.

The door elements in front of the room high windows bring ligth into the house and may be opened and closed automatically. All other windows are equipped with automatic blinds, which can be controlled trough a weather station / sensor on top of the house.

Riverside House – Interior Design

The interior fulfills all wishes also of demanding owners. The ground floor consists of kitchen area, living room with chimney, an additional working room or bedroom, a guest toilet with shower and a lot of built-in storage space. The kitchen is equipped with a chrome steel working place, oven, steamer, dishwasher and – as a highligth – a teppan yaki hob. The ground floor is finished with a highly resilient, colored Bodarto-Floor.

The upper floor includes a bedroom with view to the spinnery canal as well as a combined wellness and bathroom with whirlpool, shower and build-in storage space. A smoked oak parquet flooring finisheds the upper floor.

Cellar and washing room

The house contains an own washing room on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a big washing room with rigth to use in the next building. Two big cellars (one with wine climate).

Parking places

One parking place plus two motorbike parking boxes just a few meters from the house away. Additional parking places in underground garage can be rent on demand.
